As of Thursday the 10th of May 2012, Our Training Department LTD are delighted to announce that they have been awarded the ‘Investors in People standard’ certificate by achieving 39 set evidence requirements and an extra 5 evidence requirements from the extended Framework totalling an excellent 44 requirements.
For a few years now OTD has created a very solid infrastructure and ensured that the business is continuously improving and now it’s great to have reached the recognised status of ‘Investors in People’ and see all the hard work that went towards building the infrastructure rewarded.

The core foundation of good management practise, the standard is a benchmark for any well run organisation. It takes a holistic approach; every organisation has to meet the same 39 evidence requirements. It is a framework of best practice that is outcome focused: it outlines what the business needs to achieve but does not prescribe how, giving the business flexibility in trying to achieve their goals. The Standard is accredited by a simple interview process between assessors and members of the organisation across all levels.
This is a great achievement for all the team at OTD LTD; it is a fantastic reward for the continuous hard work the team has put in to making OTD a first class training company. To be accredited with the Investors in People award means that OTD have a great foundation to go forth and build on, continuing to improve and achieve higher levels of recognition through IIP. With the next step being the Bronze standard award, we hope to bring you more news of this in the near future.
The process of achieving this award was rigorous, involving several interviews during the assessment stage, so to any other businesses that are also striving for IIP status, we would be more than happy to share our experience and advice.
