Partnership to present new opportunities for students
OTD are set to deliver a pioneering presentation skills programme to students this year, thanks to an exciting new partnership with a leading university.
We have joined forces with staff from Birmingham City University (BCU) to devise Graduate Power Presenter, a brand new programme that will banish the fear of public speaking.
“Graduate Power Presenter is the first of its kind in the UK,” explains OTD global account manager, Louise Roberts.
“It is unique in that it is a student product that is based on years of experience and feedback gained through the delivery of our hugely successful Power Presenter to blue chip companies on a global scale.
“The new programme will take the very best elements of Power Presenter and tailor them specifically to the needs of a younger audience; providing young people with vital presentation skills that will help them to progress in life and work.”
We’ve just delivered a fantastic pre-programme workshop with members of
BCU’s Faculty of Business, Law and Social Sciences.
The workshop has enabled us to gain a real insight into the thoughts of BCU staff, testing content and style before the programme is launched later this year.
Helen Wright, student placement and employability manager at BCU, said: “We’re delighted to be working with OTD to bring this exciting new programme to BCU students.
“Many young people do not feel able to present confidently, which could hinder them during both their studies and subsequent career.
“Having taken part in the workshop, we just know that this programme will be of huge benefit to our young people, boosting grades and improving employment prospects.”
