Edward’s Trust has seen a 50% increase in demand in the last few years, yet it receives no financial support from the NHS or local government. For more than 30 years it has existed thanks to the donations of generous individuals and a handful of regular corporate sponsors, like OTD.

Enabling more families to receive group counselling

Through ongoing financial support, our contribution has enabled many more families to access Edward’s Trust’s vital services.

Our team has also delivered world-class training and coaching sessions to groups and individuals from the Trust, covering storytelling and presentation skills, team working, mental health resilience, conflict and negotiation skills, and goal setting.

In addition we were able to:

  • Support networking and fundraising events, including its ‘WALK30’ charity challenge.
  • Volunteer at the charity’s remembrance tree area at The National Arboretum, Alrewas, a place which provides a sanctuary where people can remember their loved ones.

Finally, we were honoured to have been invited to become a member of the Trust’s Kite Club, a community of its regular supporters. As a club member, we met the charity’s founders and heard firsthand the difference that it has, and continues to make, to those in their darkest moments.

Lucy Goodway, Engagement Manager, Edward’s Trust said:

“Without the generous, regular support from the wonderful team at OTD, it would not be possible to continue our specialist bereavement work.

“We feel very lucky that OTD continues to support our specialist bereavement work. Its support in the last twelve months equates to around 101 hours of specialist bereavement services to bereaved children, young people and parents during their grief journey.”
